Don't Forget To Warm Up!

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31

I have heard it said that one of the devil’s most effective tools, is to keep Christians so busy, that they lose focus on what is most important. I wonder how many reading this, are doing so in passing, ra...

The Vision of Faith
Date: 12 Nov 2017

Sight is the function of the eyes. Vision is the function of the mind. What we don’t see with our eyes is eternal, while what we see with our eyes is temporal. Reality beyond physical sight is often difficult to imagine. Because we live in a physical and material world it’s hard to understand reality which the Scriptures refer to in 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

How blessed we are as believers to know that God sent His Son from a spiritual dimension to live among us and prove that there is a future for all who trust Him as Lord and Saviour. The vision of faith helps us to comprehend a new world and a spiritual domain where all of us will exist in perfect harmony, where there is no crime, sickness, sorrow or threat of war and destruction. There will be no tears in heaven – Revelation 21:4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Imagine eternal life in the heavenlies - with the vision of faith we can see God’s glory and splendour.

I want to urge and encourage you to use your mind’s eye to see a new world of reality, one where your vision of faith enables you to look through the keyhole of time into the future with hope and optimism of living above the stars of heaven. Read the litany of faith heroes who were men and women of vision in Hebrews 11:1-40.
